TORONTO, ONT – iYellow Wine Club hosted a Trapiche Pure and Trapiche Extravaganza wine tasting at the Ritz Carlton and at the iYellow Wine Cave on Thursday, September 25.
Trapiche has long been referred to as a Malbec specialist with their vineyards located in the Mendoza region in Argentina, and lie high against the Andes.
Attended by a select few discriminating Malbec wine lovers along with the winemakers representatives from Argentina, the evening allowed the group to sample both wines as well as delicious paired food and cheeses which included Deep Fried Frog Legs, Duck Tounge Tacos and for the sweet tooth in you Chocolate Covered Doughnuts with Crickets.
The Trapiche ‘Pure’ is an unoaked wine and has a pleasing lift and brightness, with ashy and floral aspects and a touch of pepper over lively cherry and black berry fruit.
The Trapiche ‘Extravaganza’ is a perfect blend of Malbec, Bonarda and Syrah displaying fresh aromas of red and black fruits, violets and a hint of spice.
iYellow Wine Club is a social wine club based in Toronto with monthly wine events, wine tours and newsletters.
