Get Lucky at the 2014 Lucky Ball

What do you do when you are given $10,000 as a donation? Do you feel Lucky? Or do you think you can with help, triple your donation?

In February 2013, the Fort York Food Bank was given a $10,000 donation and rather than just use that money, the board thought they could leverage the $10,000 donation into something more.

One month later, with help from amazing corporate sponsors like CIBC, Molsons, Brendan Canning (Broken Social Scene) and the $10,000 from the original donors The Brad Lamb Realty / Sennheiser, that donation morphed into the first annual Lucky Ball, a St. Patrick’s Day-themed party was born. 300 influential young professionals attended the first Lucky Ball, raising almost $30,000 for Fort York Food Bank.

This year’s goal is for 500 guests to attend, which would raise approximately $50,000 for Fort York Food Bank. Raising $50,000 would cover almost 1/3rd of the food bank’s cash operating budget for 2014. We hope you would come out for such an amazing event.
