2017 Glitter Ball

TORONTO, ONT – The 4th annual “Glitter Ball” gala, benefitting the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) was held on March 4, 2017 at Arcadian Court in downtown Toronto.

This year’s Glitter Gala attracted over 400 members of the Chinese and Canadian community and helped raise over $325,000 to help fund a state-of-the-art operating suite at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. These operating suites will be used to train surgeons from China and Canada.

This year’s Shanghai-themed night included canapes, cuisines, Chinese entertainment, and a charity casino. Althea Nguyen was the big winner of the night. She who won the two roundtrip Business Class tickets from Toronto to Shanghai, generously donated by Cathay Pacific Airways.

Singer Emily Hui, a former SickKids patient entertained the crowd. The Glitter Ball was co-chaired by ‘Chinese Cabinet’ and Event Committee members Justin Poy and Frank Luk.
