TORONTO, ONT – The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) held their grand opening of their Tattoos: Ritual. Identity. Obsession. Art Exhibition to a rousing and appreciated tattooed and tattoo loving crowd in Toronto.
“The exhibition coming from the musée du quai Branly in Paris, where the exhibition received rave reviews, Tattoos: Ritual. Identity. Obsession. Art. explores the 5000-year-old multifaceted world of tattooing, showcasing a visual history of body art and markings, ancient tools, and commissioned tattooed silicone body reproductions, inked by some of the most respected tattoo artists in the contemporary world.”
Many of the guest were exhibiting their own form of body art as they proudly displayed their body art. Tattoos on exhibit ranged from Japanese irezumi tattoos, L.A Gang tattoo to traditional South Pacific tattoos.
Tattoos: Ritual. Identity. Obsession. Art Exhibition runs until September 5, 2016
