2016 Joe Carter Classic – After Party Event

TORONTO, ONT –  The 7th Annual Joe Carter Classic Golf tournament on June 23rd was another victorious fundraising endeavour in aid of the Baseball legends; Joe Carter Scholarship Fund and the Joe Carter Family Support Fund for Children.

The highly anticipated post Tournament “After-Party” Soirée was a rousing success, hosted by TV and Film Comedic Greats; Cedric the Entertainer and George Lopez.  Guests included event participants, notable industry supporters, local philanthropists, sponsors, as well as 43 internationally renowned celebrity attendees and entertainers in celebration and advocacy of the 2016 Joe Carter Classic.

A sold out crowd flocked to the Shangri-La Hotel in downtown Toronto to rub shoulders with the many Sporting Legends, and Entertainment Royalty including; Super Bowl MVP Mark Rypien,  Pro Football Hall of Famer Dan Marino, NHL Hall of Famer Grant Fuhr, Toronto Blue Jay Devon White, NHL Leaf’s Alum Doug Gilmour, and Actor Alan Thicke (to name a few) and of course the shining star and Hero of the night Joe Carter.

This year the After-Party sponsored by Biion Footwear and Strellson featured performances by Grammy winning Artists Naughty By Nature who had the A-List captivated crowd delighted and dancing to their mega hit ‘Hip Hop Hooray’ and Reggae Fusion superstar favourite and Grammy Award Winner Shaggy who brought down the house, enrapturing the crowd with his seductive musical stylings.

“I’m thrilled that we are able to continue to positively impact the lives of so many children through programs that help them grow and develop into well-rounded adults,” said Joe Carter, the events passionate co-chair. “It is important that children have access to outlets that not only teach but foster a sense of community.”

Since 2010, the Annual Joe Carter Classic Golf Tournament and Events have raised and pledged $1,500,000 to directly benefit programs through the Children’s Aid Foundation as well as other Agencies benefitting Children that they partner with. Their goal is to deliver a fun and unique golf event that provides their guests an opportunity to network, play golf and mingle with many of the top athletes in the world, all while raising important awareness and funding through the Joe Carter Scholarship Fund and the Joe Carter Family Support Fund.
