TORONTO – The 519 hosted the Piccolo Diavolo ‘unleash your little devil while the angels play’ cocktail and canapés reception and art sale in support of The 519 Church Street Community Centre on Thursday February 12th.
Hosted by Laurent Fort & PR by SIMScomm, it debuted the Canadian release of the coffee table book RM. XIV, a new Homoerotic Coffee table book by Vancouver born, NYC-based Broadway star Mark MacKillop.
Mark Mackillop, playing Riff, a principle role in the cast of West Side Story stole the spotlight with 282 consecutive performances, Mark began shooting self-portraits in 14 solitary hotel rooms, Naples, Monte Carlo, London, Tel Aviv, Zurich among the many stops.
The book’s intro was written by Grammy and Tony winner Billy Porter and the foreword by renowned NYC artist Robert W Richards. Rm. XIV launched in Manhattan where it was very well received.
For the event, the 519’s Grand Ballroom was transformed, featuring UpCountry Canada’s spring 2015 collection!
Proceeds from Piccolo Diavolo will go to support The 519’s year round programs and services.
