TORONTO, ON – The Shangri-La Hotel in downtown Toronto on Thursday May 2, was the place to be for the 3rd Annual Right to Play Ball hosted by TV Host Glen Baxter and 4 time Norwegian Olympic Gold Medalist speed skater Johann Olav Koss.
A sold out crowd rubbed shoulder with many Canadian Olympic and Gold medal winning athletes, former Maple Leaf Tie Domi, CFL Hall of Famer Damon Allen, CSI: NY cast member Hill Harper and everyone favourite Canadian news anchor icon CBC’s own Peter Mansbridge. A special guest appearance by 90’s CityTV and MuchMusic Icon Monika Deol of Electric Circus Fame brought back memories to the Gen Xers in attendance.
The sold out crowd really wanted to see was world-renowned comedian and special guest-DJ for the night Russell Peters and disappoint he did not. As Montell Jordan would say, Russell Peter showed- ‘This Is How We Do It’. When Russell ‘dropped the needle’ the crowd started dancing and didn’t stop until his set was over.
