2014 Krispy Kreme Film Festival

TORONTO, ONT – On a rainy Wednesday night in Toronto, the world-renowned Toronto International Film Festival wasn’t the only Film Festival in town. The 2nd annual Krispy Kreme Film Festival complete with red carpet took center stage or rather the upstairs space of the Wheat Sheaf Tavern.

The Krispy Kreme Film Festival Contest was opened to filmmakers, amateur videographers, social media aficionados and doughnut lovers. Entrants were required to submit doughnut-themed creative short videos filmed with any device from cell phones to professional cinematic cameras.2014 Krispy Kreme Film Festival

A panel of celebrity judges led my Mini-Me himself Verne Troyer from the Austin Power movies.

The winner was ‘Sticky Fingers’ by Kevin Revie. Kevin received $1000, Krispy Kreme doughnuts for a year and a priceless trophy!

All in all it was a fun evening not dampened by the rain or the absence of Hollywood A-Listers.
