TORONTO, ONT – The Australia Today 2014 Trade Show was a demonstration of Australia’s winemaking expertise and innovation. It showcased to restaurateurs and sommeliers what is available on the market for 2014.
Compared to last year, there were more boutique wines, more diverse regions, and more interesting offerings of almost 200 wines, some well known, some lesser known, from 24 regions and more than 40 brands. A selection of cheese, bread and crackers were provided with which to pair the Austrian wines.
Familiar names such as Wolf Blass, and Jacob’s Creek were on hand as well as newer brands such as 19 Crimes and Stella Bella. Specialty tables; one “Chardonnay”, and the other on “Old Vine” wines as well as a blind tasting table were featured at the event.
