TORONTO, ON – The 2nd Annual Right to Play Ball sponsored by Mastercard was held at the Toronto’s ultra luxurious Shangri La Hotel.
The 2013 Right To Play Ball was founded by TV Host and Producer Glen Baxter and four-time Olympic gold medalist and social entrepreneur Johann Olav Koss. Their goal was to raise awareness and funds to educate and empower children facing adversity in some of the most disadvantaged countries in the world.
The event featured some extra special guests most notably DJ Tony Okungbowa from the Ellen Degeneres Show, Canadian Olympic hurdler Perdita Felicien. Rosie MacLennan, 2012 Olympic Gold medalist for trampoline, Canada’s Supermodel Stacey McKenzie and Kardinal Offishall’s who birthday it was also and a dance floor which was alive!
Guests enjoyed complimentary hors d’oeurves and drinks. A silent auction helped make the evening raise more funds for such a worthy cause.
The evening raised $125,000 for the Right To Play.
