The Annual POGO Gala at the Liberty Grand helped raise $700,000.00 for Pediatric Oncology.
TORONTO, ONT – In what has become one of the most highly anticipated Galas of the season with more than 1000 of the Who’s who of Toronto’s trend setters, hip social set, corporate supporters, health care providers, and young professionals attended the POGO Gala at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex in support of children with cancer. The evening helped raised $700,000.00 for Pediatric Oncology.
Speakers this year include POGO’s new Medical Director, Dr. David Malkin, and 13-year old cancer survivor, Aimee Zeglinski-Spinney. Special guest, Mike Chalut of the Mike Chalut Show on PROUD FM, was the emcee and host of the exciting live auction.
The POGO After Party which continued after the POGO dinner had a silent auction with items by Tiffany & Co. original art works, and sports memorabilia. The evening included a a host bar, hors d’oeuvres, entertainment and dancing.
The Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) ensures that children with cancer in Ontario are given equal access to state-of-the-art cancer care. Their partners are across the Province of Ontario and include a multidisciplinary group of oncologists, pediatric nurses, social and behavioral professionals, and survivors and parents.
